Week 3 NFL Predictions/Fantasy Outlook

Last week showed us that in the NFL, when a new season starts, anything can happen.  A lot of you out there who are already out of your survival pool(Saints, Patriots), know this.  My predictions went along the lines of what happened last year. The general public doesn't get to see what goes on behind the scenes or what coaches may be thinking in terms of what they have in mind for their players and schemes, and it makes fantasy football incredibly hard to play.

Yes, I think not having Sean Payton and Jonathan Vilma greatly affects both sides of the ball for the Saints.  I also think we aren't being told everything about the Wes Welker situation(shocking), so in order to find the deep sleepers or who plays more than the other in the backfield, knowing the coaches matters more than the players.  I also learned that Mike Nolan coaches the Falcons defense, and what I saw on Monday showed that he is incredibly good at causing confusion before the play.

We'll see what happens in week 3, but my suggestion is to follow your gut instinct, even if it proves to be the wrong choice every once in a while.  Last year I didn't have to worry because of guys like Ray Rice, Tony Romo, Jimmy Graham, Frank Gore, and Chicago's defense staying healthy and leading me to a 1st place finish.  This year, F-Jax is out and Spiller looks like the better back anyway, and I'm reaching deep.  So in these articles I may go out on limbs, but it's what I do.  I don't follow the experts, and most of the time, what's "supposed to happen" usually doesn't.

I'm going to simply start listing my projections for players I would start, so if you don't see a specific guy, I'd probably sit him.  I'll also have my prediction for the game.
